Early Detection Works Services

For eligible women, Early Detection Works offers the following services:

Free Breast Cancer Screenings:

  • Annual clinical breast exams performed by a nurse or physician for women age 40-64
  • Annual mammograms for women age 50-64
  • Annual mammograms for women age 40-49* if
    1. They have a personal history of cancer or
    2. They have a mother, daughter, or sister with a history of breast cancer or
    3. A lump is found by the clinician performing the breast exam

Free Cervical Cancer Screenings:

  • Annual pelvic exams and Pap tests for women ages 40-64
  • After 3 years in a row of normal Pap tests the program pays for screening every 3 years
